Ellis Square copper wall lantern in dark copper finish with clear glass and 4 lights. Size shown:22"H x 14"W, extends 17". Available in other finishes, glass options and sizes. The Ellis Square post top lantern is a new addition to our southern line of fixtures. Craftsmanship is apparent in this classic lantern detailed in raised squares that adorn a hand-soldered copper top. Our lanterns are handmade and designed in the Low-Country, and this lantern was inspired by the rich history associated with Ellis Square in Savannah, Georgia. Ellis Square is one of the original squares designed by James Oglethorpe in 1733. Ellis Square was named after Sir Henry Ellis, the 2nd royal governor of the Colony of Georgia. Ellis Square was the original City Market from 1763 to 1954. The demolition of the market resulted in the birth of the Savannah Preservation Movement and the Historic Savannah Foundation. (Note: Must ship truck, shipping charges will apply)
Be sure to ask about our "turtle friendly" lighting options. All of our handcrafted lanterns are made of a heavy gauge copper or brass with cast brass structural supports (no punch riveting, all hand-soldered, no steel parts). Custom sizing and custom trim are available. We can change any lantern to gas. All lanterns come in wall mount, post top or hanging versions. We can make sconces to match or smaller garden models. We can make any of our lanterns ADA compliant. Several aging processes are applied to the copper or brass to give rich, interesting patinas. You can choose the light cluster option and glass to meet your needs. Our lanterns are well suited for interior as well as exterior applications and hold up in extreme climates and salt-water conditions. Made in the USA and built to last a life time! UL APPROVED
